The Broker — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It means the person running this has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is offered for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the part that requires honesty. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
